8847 9th Ave SW #A

From the Sellers...

"Where we love is home. A home that our feet may leave but not our hearts."
- Oliver Wendell Holmes

This has been my home for the past 10 years. A lot of growing up has been done here. When I first bought 8847, I was a young single professional looking to be closer to work, my friends, and all that Seattle had to offer. I could easily meet for a happy hour on Alki before catching the water taxi for an M's game. I could jet down Highland Park and onto either 99 or 1st Ave to see a show downtown. I even took the bus on a few occasions to the stadiums for a Hawks game or Sounders match.

As time passed, I fell in love with Asher and got married. Then we welcomed our son, Mateo. We love family walks around the neighborhood, including Westcrest Park. We also drive to Lincoln Park and Alki to explore along the waterfronts. West Seattle has given us the perfect balance of a friendly neighborhood with easy access to the amenities we want.

We have felt fortunate to live in a vivacious, beautiful city and have improved this home in that image. We painstakingly moved loads of century old bricks from The Original Rainier Brewery to construct the front walkway. We painted, fussed over light bulbs, and weeded the gardens in pouring February rain.

We do not leave 8847 lightly, but life moves quickly and a new chapter is beginning for us. We have many fond memories here and hope that a new owner will find the same joy and warmth that our home has given us.
